- Letter written by PFC Douglas Wildfang to Gloria Mau while he was serving in the Philippines during World War II. Gloria Mau of Des Plaines, Illinois, volunteered to correspond with many people serving overseas during the war years. In this letter, Doug writes to Gloria about the Philippines and the gratitude of the the Filipinos after being liberated from Japanese rule. He enclosed some Japanese centavos (included elsewhere in this collection).
