- Letter written by PFC Douglas Wildfang to Gloria Mau of Des Plaines, Illinois, while he was stationed in Okinawa during World War II. Gloria Mau volunteered to correspond with many people serving overseas during World War II. In this letter, Doug writes of the death of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt; memories of his childhood with his brother and cousin, and speculates how he might adjust to civilian life after the war.
