- Letter written to Gloria Mau of Des Plaines, Illinois, by PFC Douglas Wildfang, while he was serving in Okinawa during World War II. Gloria Mau volunteered to correspond with many people serving overseas during World War II. In this letter, Doug thanks Gloria for the snapshot of herself she sent to him in a previous letter, and proposes a date with her to museums or the Brookfield Zoo when he returns.
