- Description
- Undated postcard of the First National Bank of Des Plaines. The building first housed the Des Plaines State Bank, which was built in 1927. The state bank closed in 1931. The building then housed the First National Bank of Des Plaines from 1937 until 1957. A sign for Florsheim Shoes can be seen on the opposite corner of Lee and Ellinwood Streets. Signage visible in the bank windows: "Ben F. Eidamiller & Co. Real Estate" (lower right) and "J.D. Pett, Dentist" (upper windows).
