- A painting of the first Village Hall of Des Plaines as it would have appeared circa 1892. The building - with its distinctive clock tower - stood on the corner of Lee and Ellinwood streets, circa 1892. A plaque on the picture frame reads: "1st City Hall, Des Plaines Illinois, Gift of Dr and Mrs Henry F. Heller, Artist - Virginia Close."
