- First known photograph of the Meyer-Ahbe-Grice Family Home on Thacker Street. Built with the financial assistance of William F. Meyer by John F. and Savena (Meyer) Ahbe in 1898 to be their family residence, the house - located at 1603 E. Thacker Street - continues to be a family home by the Meyer/Ahbe descendants. The house was constructed by Brown & Koehler, local carpenters, both of whom were related to John Ahbe through his mother, Philippine Lindeman Brown Ahbe, a well-known midwife.
