Receipt for Suburban Cleaners of Des Plaines, Illinois. Stamped with the legend, "'UNCLE SAM' NEEDS YOUR HELP! Please bring in hangers;" referring to the scrap metal drive to help the war effort during World War II. Additional Suburban Cleaners stores were in Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, Wheaton, Villa Park and Arlington Heights. From the papers of Gloria Mau.
