Women's Club Slates Fashion, Fur Spectacular The Des Plaines Woman's Club is planning an annual benefit luncheon, "Fall Fash- ions and Furs Spectacular," to be held on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Bristol Court, 828 E. Rand Rd., Mt. Prospect. Social hour will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at 12:30 p.m. Fashions and furs will be modeled by club members: Pearl Anderson, Elaine John- son, Deborah Kozak, Blanche Nicely, Betty Reiber, and Blanche Walbridge. Models from the Des Plaines Junior Woman's Club include: Bylle Skoczek, president; Denise Kohn and Joyce Pawlik. Proceeds will benefit the following club philanthropies: American Field Service, Friends of the Des Plaines Public Library, Des Plaines Self-help Closet, Des Plaines Senior Center, and scholarships to local students in Ait, Music and speech. Betty Anderson and Blanche Nicely are co-chairmen of the event and have also planned a bake sale. Irene Aide and Dorothy Freer are in charge of door and raffle prizes. Boxes of food collected by the Cumber- land School PTA are being unloaded for the Self-Help Closet by I. to r., Del John- son, food coordinator of the Closet, Terri Suwanski, Cindy Kline and her daughter Brittainy, of the PTA, and Jane Horn, clothing coordinator of the Closet. Cindy Kline and Jane Horn unload boxes of food on the conveyor which brings contributed items down to the lower level of the old West School Building where the Self- Help closet is located.
